These words seem to be a trend lately, ” Help My Marriage is Falling Apart!” or how about, “Can God help my marriage?” “How can I help my marriage?” Don’t worry, in this article we will be touching on one common challenge within married couples. There are things we must understand when we are married and hopefully this article can give you some insight on how we can think differently than one another.

Help My Marriage Is Falling Apart!

You’re asking, ” Can I help my marriage?” The answer is you are taking the first step right now by seeking help. Yes, you can help your marriage. If your spouse isn’t too far out of your marriage right now then there is hope for your marriage to be restored.

How Can I Help My Marriage?

Many times in a marriage we need to look more deeply at what our arguments are actually about. The issue we may be arguing about may not even be the real “issue”. Every couple knows what its like to get into a conflict that ends up escalating into a full-blown argument, then becoming unsure of why it even happened. A spouse may write it off saying,”she’s too emotional” or “he’s too edgy”. But those weren’t the real issues at all. The real issue could had been the woman felt unloved by her husband’s actions and perhaps the husband felt disrespected by her reaction to how he acted.

When spouses focus on their own needs and overlook the needs of the other that’s when the issues arise. The wife needs love, she isn’t trying to be disrespectful. The husband needs respect, he isn’t trying to be unloving. Once the husband and wife can become aware of this then some of their apparent issue isn’t a real issue at all because they are both coming to an understanding.

Can God Help My Marriage?

You may feel like there’s no hope and maybe you are asking, “Can God help my marriage?” The answer here is God can do anything even if it seems impossible to you. We need faith. When we feel like there’s nothing left we can do we need to learn to leave it in God’s hands. Prayer does work if you believe as you pray, it will work. Now, I must say it may not be on our time or our ways of things working but it will be in God’s timing.

If there are things that you are aware of that you did or said to your spouse, it’s important to ask them for their forgiveness and also ask God to forgive you as well. He is a loving God and He will forgive you, just be sincere and change yourself for the better. God wants your marriage to work.

Below are some encouraging Faith verses:

Matt 17:20

If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to the mountain “Move from here to there” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Romans 5:1

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

James 1:6-8

Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways.
