What Does it Say About Marriage in the Bible?

If you care about God then I am sure you would like to know the answer to this question,”What Does It Say About Marriage in the Bible?” The bible is filled with so much practical application when it comes to life and relationships so you can get the knowledge of how to improve your life through the bible. On this post I will be giving you some insight of what it says in the bible about marriage. I am a believer and if you are too I’m sure you will find this post useful.

Ephesians 4:2-4

2, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering forbearing one another in love; 3, Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4, There is one body, and one spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

Genesis 1:27-28

27, So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28, And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Malachi 2:14-15

14, Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. 15, And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Genesis 2:24

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Marriage is your most important relationship on earth. It is important to treat your spouse the best you can because your spouse is not just your spouse but your spouse is also your brother/sister in the Lord. We have to watch the words we use toward one another because words are pretty powerful. You want to speak life within your relationship and all other parts of your life as well.

Verses about Watching Our Words:

Proverbs 11:9

An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

Proverbs 15:1-2

1, A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. 2, The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.

There are so many more verses than this that speak of how powerful words are so I do suggest researching them if you do have trouble in that area.
